Mobility Programme
(SMP) Financial Aid
Having overseas exposure as part of your degree programme can academically and socially enrich your university experience, broaden perspectives and enhance your employment prospects.
If you are an IMU student pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies, the Mobility Programme will provide you an opportunity to have some external learning opportunities abroad. If you are an international student, we invite you to experience life in Malaysia, discover the city of Kuala Lumpur and interact with local students at IMU.
IMU’s journey began in 1992 when it introduced Malaysia’s first global medical partnership programme, allowing students to start the medical education locally before transferring to Partner Medical Schools abroad to complete their degree. As a multiple award-winning institution, we collaborate with 40 esteemed universities globally for 85 pathways. Today, we integrate human, animal and environmental health into a comprehensive “One Health” approach to expand the horizons of traditional healthcare education.
Having a chance to obtain an international experience will greatly enhance your learning and allow you to make friends around the world.
Participating in a student mobility programme is an opportunity for you to experience living abroad and learn about a different country and culture. You can also gain better understanding of your study area, make new friends and maybe even learn to speak a foreign language. This will greatly enhance your job prospects globally and enrich your life experiences.
An initiative to add further value to the studies and experience of our students and students from other countries, the IMU International Student Mobility Programme gives students the unique opportunity to combine overseas travel and cultural experience, with various aspects of studies. IMU encourages its own students to gain international experiences whilst undertaking their degree programme via this programme.
